PROFILE
Dale Plumb has been involved in horses for most of his life. He commenced riding horses from around the age of four at Bega Pony Club. He competed at his first show, “Bega Horse Show” at the age of seven, competing in all events, except hack classes. His talents were not limited, as Dale competed in showjumping, eventing, campdrafting, novelties and bush racing. Dale’s enthusiasm for hack classes came many years later around the age of 20. He was offered his first job with Vicky Lawrie, where he learned more about the craft of showing for four months. In the mid 80’s, he continued to ride for clients partnering such horses as Tahiti (Champion Hack Sydney Royal) and Artistry (National Galloway of the Year). He later took on showing his own team of horses, starting with the famous Whispering Jack, which he found off the racetrack at Bombala in March 1987. Jack was the first hack Dale produced and their partnership took them to their first Melbourne Royal Show in September 1987, winning Supreme Exhibit in a snaffle bridle. Since then, Dale has produced and won every major title around the country.
Dale has an exceptional talent for finding horses ‘off the track in the raw`. Some of the racehorses to benefit from Dale’s eye include, Gigolo, Kokomo, Neon, Gosh, KB Superstar, DP Idol, WP Enigma, WP Imagine, Perez, DP Diamonds and DP Private Eye, to name a few. Dale is known for his ability to match horses with riders. Please review some of the testimonials which include the McEvoy and McMaster families. Dale is available for coaching, finding and producing horses. Dale’s 45 acre property is located only 45 minutes south east of Melbourne and five minutes off the freeway.
