Tuscany Flyer showed brilliant 2 year old speed. In his first four starts he won the Debutante Stakes-LR, the Blue Diamond Prelude-G3, he then ran third in the Blue Diamond Stakes-G1.(Principality, Flying Spur.)
He then went to Sydney and ran third in the Todman Slipper Stakes-G2. (Octagonal, Our Maizcay)
He won four races, three seconds and three thirds.

Tuscany Flyer is a magnificent looking horse. He is an athletic type with a lovely sloping shoulder, strong back end, and free flowing movement. It is no wonder he was able to show early speed on the track.
He has also gone on to be a success at stud.
He currently has 50% winners to runners, including FIVE stakes winning horses-Tuscany Warrior, Flying Coup, Ashbury Syd, Wazawatsyn and Taking The Mickey, and six stakes placed horses-Lady Libertine (also winner in Santa Anita USA), Tuscan Heritage, Flying Class, Sorrento Star , Wee Winkle & Tuscany Dancer.
He has winners in 7 countries: America, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Penang, Singapore and NZ
One of his most successful progeny is a mare by the name of Lady Libertine. She holds the National Record for a 2yr old over 800m time 44.41s Riccarton Park New Zealand (54kg) year 2002
Wazawatsyn has won 3 stakes races, including back to back stakes wins a week apart, the first being The Timaru Stakes, followed by The Eclipse Stakes (James Hazlett Stakes).
